Trading Manager (BT)                                                                                                                                         2017 – 2018

Trading Manager for BT within the Business and Public Sector group, where I produced and supplied data Competitor Analysis to BT’s CEO. The position involved analysing trading statistics to ensure budgets are kept on target and meet their financial budgetary demands. I also collated commercial offers and tenders as competition to BT’s industrial competitors.

Key achievements

¨       Successfully analysing and monitoring commercial offers and competition to help towards achieving £1.7 billion of revenue for Small Medium Enterprises (SME) part of the Business and Public Sector group which generates 20% of the overall BT Group revenue.

Senior Business Manager (BT)                                                                                                                           2014 – 2017

I set up and managed new contracts, including all aspects of governance and commercial billing. The role was customer facing and required strong stakeholder management skills to ensure BT gained maximum leverage from the contracts signed with their Suppliers. I also successfully completed the analysis of a significant amount of strategic data for input to a major website migration project.

Key achievements

¨       Establishing commercial governance for new Sabadell/TSB contract, £20m contract.

¨        Cost management of Kingfisher contract owners of B&Q and Screwfix stores. Contract value £25m.

¨        Setting up of new billing / invoicing with Offshore team.

¨        Updating financials for contract governance reviews.


Senior Business Support Manager (BT)                                                                                                         2008 – 2014

I collaborated with BT Senior Management and external contractors to plan, produce and deliver the BT Phonebook. I also managed the performance of BT’s print house to ensure contractual SLA and KPIs were achieved. During this period, I successfully managed the minimising production of costs with a saving of £3.5million using a variety of complex cost models, forecasts, and the analysis and manipulation of data extracts. I also produced, monitored and updated budget submissions and produced in depth reports to BT Senior Management.

Key achievements

¨       100% success rate in phone book production to meet stringent deadlines and protect BT revenue.

¨       The successful management of the production of 168 editions of the BT Phonebook.

¨       The production management 21.9million copies of the BT phonebook on time and within target.

¨       The redesign of the content of the BT Phonebook.

¨       The saving of £7million in costs since 2008 by renegotiating improved contractual agreements.


Business Support Manager (BT)                                                                                                                   2001 – 2008

I controlled a contractual spend of £100million for the use of network support, repair, business support and office contracts and maintenance. To achieve this, I managed a team of 20 staff to track expenditure and implement best practice methods to ensure annual budgetary targets were met. I also produced monthly reports for BT Senior Management and built and monitored the non-pay budget process.

Key Achievements:

¨       Tracking & monitoring yearly budgets to achieve £77 million pounds of costs savings.

¨       Producing / presenting financials at Senior and local team meetings.

¨       Managing small team of assistants and wider team of managers to meet objectives year on year.

¨       Ensuring team had correct access to all systems and correct mandatory training completed on time.


Office Manager (BT)                                                                                                                                          1989 – 2001
The management and day-to-day running of a strategic BT building of over 100 staff, including equipment ordering equipment, supply management and fault handling. I led a team and to manage projects on time and within budget, including office moves, environment upgrades and building works. The role required the conducting of weekly building inspection’s, the management of on-site contractors, monitoring Health & Safety issues and the running of monthly environmental forum reviews.

Key Achievements:

¨       The successful setting up of an office to accommodate 100 people.

¨       Ordering and keeping Office supplied with stationary, IT consumables and Hospitality room bookings for meetings.

¨       Project managing a major building Security upgrade.

¨       Setting up and running Employee CARE forum.

¨       Running weekly fire alarm tests and evacuation drills

I also sit on the Committee at Godalming Town FC the local Senior club. In my spare time I enjoy any type of sport, either watching or participating particularly Football, Cricket and Golf.
