An aircraft and engine repair and tear down facility.

Aircraft mechanic–

·      Removal of serviceable components, flight control and flight systems on Lockheed C-130 Hercules, Embraer 190, Boeing 767 and Airbus A319.

·      Locally trained on Scissor lift.

Willis Asset Management Ltd, U.K.–

An aircraft and power plant leasing company.

Consultancy Administrative Assistant –

·      Predicting the upcoming shop visits of newly purchased CFM56-7B, CFM56-5B, and V2500 engines by using EFPAC (Engine Fleet Planning and Costing), a software provided by AerData (A Boeing company).

·      Develop shop visit templates and shop finding report templates.

·      Conducting QEC inspection on CFM56-3 engines.

August 2017

GE Aviation, U.K. –

Short term work placement

·      GE90 – Inspection and assisting in modular disassembly of GE90-115Bs.

·      LPT disassembly- Assisting in stripping of Low-pressure turbines and inspection for possible leaks and wear.

·      NDT and CMM – Brief introduction into the examination of engine parts under Radiographic testing (RT) and measuring the parts using advanced coordinate measuring machines.

·      CFM56 – Assisting on the final assembly bay of CFM56 engines.

As part of the degree, I have been trained by the University to work in a live hanger, where I have learned–

·      Work per the manuals provided by the aircraft manufacturer.

·      Health and safety measures to be taken and the importance of PPE and tool control.

·      Working in a team and leading a team.

·      Working with pneumatic tools, basic tools, and files.
