Professional Experience

·         Bio-Medical Engineering Technician (Dec 2012 – Till Date), in Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha (Qatar).

·         Hamad Medical Corporation is one of the biggest government institution under Ministry of Health comprises of Hospitals such as Hamad General Hospital, Women’s Hospital, Al Amal Hospital (NCCR), Rumailah Hospital, Heart Hospital, CDC, Hospital in  Wakra, Al Khor, Dukhan region and new Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.

Ø  Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for installation and documentation of commissioned medical equipment to above mentioned set of hospitals.

·         Maintenance and troubleshooting of biomedical equipment’s clinically as well as technically.

·         Performing repairs, calibration and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) of medical instruments.

·         Maintaining the proper documents of the medical equipment’s for the JCI auditing purpose.

·         Ensuring compliance to quality standards by calibrating the testing devices and maintaining all quality control documents received from company.

·         Managing the in-house calibration of vital signs monitors, phototherapy, warmer, air mattress system, infusion and syringe pumps etc.

·         Maintaining the documentation for all medical equipment and also maintain warranties and service contracts where applicable in CMMIS (Computerized maintenance management system).

·         Follow up the Preventive maintenance and calibration schedule for the medical equipment’s under warranty.

·         Conducting yearly PPM rounds to above mentioned Hospitals, Primary Health Centres and Paediatric Emergency Centres.

·         Participated in organising Medical Camps and Check-up zones with Hamad International Training Centre Team.

·         Worked in Installation and Commissioning team for new Medical City Project.

 

·         Biomedical Engineer (June 2011 – Nov 2012), at Apollo Main Hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu (India)

·         Apollo Hospital Enterprises Limited one of the biggest Hospital Chain in India having 64 Hospital all around and most of biomedical engineering team managed by Faber Sindoori Management Private Limited.

Ø  Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for providing technical data and cost comparison in procurement of the biomedical equipment’s to necessary department.

·         Handling Department: – ICU, CCU, Cardiology, PFT, Bronchoscopy, Gastroenterology and Radiology.

·         Coordinating with the service personnel of various medical equipment companies regarding specification and arrangement of demo equipment for trial use.

·         Preparing Preventive maintenance and calibration schedule for the biomedical equipment’s with High Risk and Low Risk comparison.

·         Performing repairs, calibration, breakdown and preventive maintenance of biomedical instruments.

·         Maintaining the proper documents of the biomedical equipment’s for JCIA, NABH and ISO auditing purpose.

·         Ensuring compliance to quality standards and maintaining all quality control documents of testing devices and calibration tools.

·         Managing the in-house calibration of defibrillators, electrosurgical units, patient monitors, and infusion and syringe pumps.

·         Maintaining the documentation for all medical equipment and also maintain warranties and service contracts where applicable in CMMIS (Computerized maintenance management system).

·         Follow up with Company for any breakdown Biomedical Equipment under Annual Maintenance and Comprehensive Maintenance.

·          Updating the inventory of all types of medical equipment’s installed in the hospital by preparing Installation and Commissioning Report.

 

 

·         Biomedical Engineer (June 2010- June 2011),at Travancore Medical College and Hospital, Kollam, Kerala (India)

Travancore Medical College and Hospital, unit of Quilon Medical Trust, having 850 bed capacity with Education Facility for students.

Ø  Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for the procurement of biomedical equipment’s with preparing specification according to department necessity, participating in negotiation and initiating Purchase Order.

·         Coordinating with company regarding dispatch of equipment and accessories as per Purchase Order.

·         Responsible for negotiation of renewal of existing Comprehensive Maintenance Contract and new Annual Maintenance contract.

·         Performing repairs, attending breakdown and doing preventive maintenance of biomedical instruments.

·         Maintaining the proper documents of the medical equipment’s for pre ISO auditing purpose.

·         Maintaining the Biomedical store stocks by placing orders for testing devices and accessories.

·         Maintaining the installation documentation for all medical equipment by mentioning warranties and service contracts where applicable.

·         Maintenance of Central Gas Supply Services (CGSS) to the entire hospital with daily pressure monitoring, procurement of medical gas and distribution of medical gas to respective departments.

·         Updating the inventory of all types of medical equipment’s installed in Log File.

·         Prepare the Preventive maintenance and calibration schedule for the newly commissioned medical equipment’s as per Company Standards.

·         To follow up with the vendors for any breakdown under Annual maintenance and Comprehensive Maintenance Contract equipment’s.

·         Worked in New Projects-Planning of New ICU’s and OR Complex Designs coordinating with civil, electrical and also part of Gas Pipeline Planning in Travancore Heart Foundation Facility.

 

 

 

·         Sales and Service Engineer at SM DIAGNOSTIC PVT LTD, Chennai, India (June 2009-May 2010).

Ø  Responsibilities:

·         Taking care of Sales and Service of Sodium Potassium Analyser in Kerala Region

·         Coordinating with Team Lead to overlook and establish new AMC and CMC proposal and to prepare new agreements for existing contracts.

·         Coordinating with Distributor in new Demo, Installation and Service Feedback from customers.

·         Follow up about the dispatch of consumables to distributor and service and QC kits to consumers.

·         Attending monthly sales review meeting with distributor and management team.
